how to engage business ready?

I was out for coffee the other day with a new user of the Business Ready solutions when he asked me:

what is the best way to engage Business Ready?

Yes, a very good question indeed.  Of course his first inclination, and what prompted the question, was to hire me full time to run his company and he looked a bit shocked when I turned him down.  A full time CFO/COO for a company of four people is like using an elephant to squash an ant - and not money well spent.  That cash could be used for other things that have better bang for buck and you know how I’m all about CASH.

But it is a very good question that perhaps I’ve taken for granted.  Really, what is the best way to use this solutions based site?

• it is a solutions based site which implies you have a problem that needs to be solved.  As much as I’d like to believe people are reading in advance of a problem occurring the reality is the majority of our traffic is to solve an immediate question/concern that has just arisen.  Fortunately, odds are someone has already asked so the first point of contact is to read our blog and the archives.
• sometimes it is just a straight forward answer on the blog but in other cases an easy or quick tool/template may also be needed to get you over the hump.  For this reason we write straight forward blog entries that describe the problem, the solution and guide you to the tool we believe you will need.  We don’t mess around with ‘white papers’ and glorified advertising of the products - just factual accounts of how we or our customers are using our products.  So, click through and take a look at the easy to use template or get an overview with one of the guides.
• still can’t find what you are looking for?  The site is about helping you, the ‘little guy’, so just ask us and we will respond on the site; or,
• if the project is large enough and warrants our expertise at that moment you can contract us to come on site for a short period to solve your larger problem.

This was just a quick overview of how to engage with us.  We’ve been soliciting your feedback for months on the navigation of the site and ‘the last mile’ experience which we are taking very seriously.  Over the coming weeks we are planning to start implementing new features so hopefully this little solutions based site will only get better over time.  Thanks!
